For reflection - “God engages with us, takes an initiative with us, invites us, prompts us, prods us,
and disturbs us. As that disturbance in us spreads through our own self-awareness and our own
narrative about ourselves, we make the connection a bit better how God works with us.” -Rowan
2022 Theme - Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. - Philippians 2:3–4

For the week of May 29, we had 109 in attendance, with 9 on Zoom.
Today is Pentecost. We will celebrate the Return of Potluck - Almost... an All-Church Meal and Corn Hole Tournament following the service. We will serve grilled burgers, hot dogs, and several sides. We will eat outside, so we are hoping for a good-weather day, but June 12 is our rain date. Please bring lawn chairs.
Next week will be a music service. We would love input about which songs you would like to sing/hear on that day. Think about choruses, praise songs, and hymns. If you have requests, please fill out the online form or email Julie.
In our partnership with First Slavic Baptist, we have collected $850. We sent $300 dollars to the congregation in Poltava and $300 to the congregation in Irpin.... we hope to hear back from them, and we'll collect one more Sunday.
June 19 we will have a sending for the Harders. Between now and then, we will have a hymnal in which you can write them a note and sign your name.
Kaylynn and Ben are going to Camp Mennoscah! Please help them get the most from the camp experience by sending them a letter or postcard (food items are not accepted). If Kaylynn or Ben receives a certain amount of mail each day, they will have to sing for their mail. Ben will be at camp 6/19-6/23 and Kaylynn will be at camp 6/26-7/1. If you would like to send them mail, contact mom or dad for the address.
Sky Chief Springs Siding Bee Thursday, 7/7 - Saturday 7/9. Come see the Brubacher's new property near Cambridge and help put up new siding on the house! Enjoy the 28 acres of springs, old trees, and native prairie, and put your tools to use. ;) Food and space to camp or sleep indoors provided. Talk to Gordon, Rhonda or Sara Brubacher for more details.
Flowers make a wonderful addition to the worship service. If you have flowers blooming that you could share with us on a Sunday morning, please bring them.
We have a sharing fund to assist our members as well as those more loosely connected w/ us who are struggling with financial hardship. Please speak with someone on the nurture commission: Steve, Becky, Christian, and/or Ron.
CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST - Pray for the congregations hosting Vacation Bible School this summer. Pray that God would multiply our efforts to share the good news about the way of Jesus with children and families in our communities.
