Next week Joel Mpolesha will have the message.
Our Sunday school discussion of "Committees, positions, and gifts discernment at FMC" was great. If you haven't already done so, please continue the conversation by taking a few minutes to complete the survey sent out by email. If you need more information about the positions (there are a lot of them:-), please see these job descriptions.
Household Goods Needed! We are excited that Alex (Theji) Muamba has found an apartment to move into on June 1. He has been living with Christian and Germaine since arriving from Congo a month ago. We are looking for kitchen table and chairs, bedroom furniture, linens, kitchen items, lamps, etc.
The Nickels invite you to a picnic in our backyard at 4p Memorial Day. Please plan to bring a lawnchair and a side/dessert to share. Please let me know if you're coming (we plan to grill hot dogs and hamburgers).
The Return of Potluck - Almost! The Outreach Commission is planning an All-Church Meal and Corn Hole Tournament following the service on June 5. We will serve grilled burgers, hot dogs, and several sides. This is not a potluck where you bring food to share, but we could use a few people to make bars or cookies that will be served in individual baggies. We will eat outside, so we are hoping for a good-weather day, but June 12 is our rain date. Please bring lawn chairs.
A new church directory will be available this spring. Please contact Stauffers with any additions or changes to cell phone numbers, addresses, emails, etc.
We have a sharing fund to assist our members as well as those more loosely connected w/ us who are struggling with financial hardship. Please speak with someone on the nurture commission: Steve, Becky, Christian, and/or Ron.
CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST - Pray for the Central Plains congregations that are in the midst of processes of congregational discernment. We pray for God’s leading and guidance in the midst of changing congregational patterns.
