Announcements

NEXT WEEK we will read John 4:46-54 and/or possibly our 2022 theme verse.

Remember our 1st QUARTERLY MISSION OFFERING THIS Sunday. Your gifts will go to Mennonite Church USA (which includes Mennonite Mission Network) and Mennonite Central Committee.

Thanks to all for nominating and voting for these great nonprofits. We had a little penny “mishap” in the end, but the top four recipients prior to that were: Habitat for Humanity, Lincoln Literacy, Dove’s Nest and Jacob’s Well. The Outreach commission will identify 3 for this year, and refer the remaining suggestions for possibilities next year.

Our 2022 THEME VERSES are Philippians 2:3-4:

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Thank you so much for your TECH FUND DONATIONS last fall. With these donations and some ear-marked funds, we were able to make some much-needed upgrades to the technology at church, which makes running worship easier, and makes church accessible with Zoom.  We purchased the following: New computer for the Tech Deck, Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera for the back of the sanctuary, 2 microphones for Announcements and Sharing, Webcam for the front of the sanctuary, Webcam for the Library class, 2 full Zoom Classroom setups

The Nurture Committee continues to fund a $100 GIFTING PROGRAM.  If you know of someone who could benefit from receiving $100, contact Christian, Steve, Becky, or Ron. We will discuss and hand you a $100 bill for you to present to that person of need. All youth and adults may apply.

SHOP HOURS will be on Zoom from 4-5p Wednesday on the Shop Zoom Link. I hope to move toward an in-person option as well in coming weeks (there are lots of projects to make:-).

There will be a CATECHISM CLASS this winter/spring. Please contact me if you or one of your family members is interested in participating. There will be a couple in-person sessions and, more than likely, it will mostly be on Zoom.

We will have a session or two where we talk about church membership, so others who are interested can participate.

On MONDAY EVENINGS we will show "The Chosen" videos in the sanctuary. Tentatively, we will begin at 6:30 pm on March 7. If you have questions, please contact Ron.

Please consider donating a month of your time to teach Sunday school for the wonderful group of lower and upper elementary kids in Feb, Mar, April, or May. To volunteer or get more information about teaching, please contact Sara Weber.

CONFREENCE PRAYER REQUEST - Pray for those who volunteer as leaders in our conference serving on various committees and boards such as the Conference Board, the Christian Formation Committee, Pastoral Leadership Committee, Outreach and Service Committee, Stewardship Task Force, Shalom Readers Club, Peace and Justice task group and all other conference volunteers. We give thanks for those who are willing to serve!
