Our guests are able to order any entree from our menu, along with a side item and a drink. Each meals costs $5, so we hope that you will consider donating to help us continue this mission.”
NEXT WEEK we will read 1 Kings 5:1-5; 8:1-13 and probably talk about All Saints' Day
MASK - Please wear a mask in our building. For folks who are more comfortable with the Zoom option, it will also remain available for the foreseeable future. Please talk to Chad or me with questions or concerns. And thanks, all, for your patience as we try to be accommodating and caring:-)
TRUNK OR TREAT - Outreach would really appreciate a couple more trunks and a bunch of candy for our trunk or treat from 6-7p on October 27. Please talk to the Outreach Commission (Tammy, Kristopher, or Wanda) if you're interested in having a trunk, or leave candy in the church kitchen if you want to participate in that way. Capitol City is having a trunk or treat that evening as well, so we anticipate a good crowd of kids:-)
BANNERS - We will be putting banners and theme verse art back on the walls since the painting was finished. If you would like to help or have ideas to contribute, contact Wanda Stauffer.
PUPPETS - We are hoping to reopen our puppet theater for Advent this year. Please talk to Stan if you'd be willing to participate in various capacities.
HELP - Nurture commission is looking for greeters and drivers. If anyone would be willing, please sign up on the bulletin board just inside the door to the fellowship hall.
Foodnet appreciates plastic carry out CONTAINERS (preferably either a clear container or with a clear lid) to divide prepared food which is donated in mass quantities. Also, if anyone has a working fridge they want to get rid of, the Foodnet committee could sure use it:-)
FMC has established a Mortgage Assistance Fund. If you would have further questions about the fund, we would encourage you to contact Christian Mukuna, Rick Stauffer, Dallas Schlegel, Jim Buller, Joel Mpolesha, or Dave Nickel.
SHARING FUND - We have a sharing fund to assist our members as well as those more loosely connected w/ us who are struggling with financial hardship. Please speak with someone on the nurture commission: Steve, Becky, and/or Ron.
CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST - As Pastor Appreciation month draws to a close, we give thanks for all the faithful shepherds in Central Plains Mennonite Conference! Our conference is blessed with the leadership of so many good pastors!
