3rd Quarterly Mission Offering: People's City Mission -

Monthly fact: The PCM Family Shelter provides community and single-family rooms with dormitory-style beds, plus space for cots when weather or other circumstances necessitate. They can accommodate single-women and single-parent families (including families with teenage boys). Their two-story facility also provides indoor and outdoor play areas for children as well as several lounges.


Birthday/Anniversary Offering: Lulu’s on N -

Monthly fact: In addition to the free community meals, LuLu's on N offers other services to those in need. “We rely heavily on donations for the majority of our funding. We wouldn't be able to offer these services without the support of those who believe in our mission.” Community meal = $5 per meal.  31-day bus pass = $8.  Hygiene kit filled with personal care items = $12.  Month of discretionary spending (prescriptions, clothing, utility bills) = $100 



 NEXT WEEK the Gideons will have a Good News in Outreach, and we'll read Galatians 5:26-6:10.


GIFTS DISCERNMENT Committee has almost finished their work of filling positions in the church for the coming year. The positions that remain unfilled are a person for Gifts Discernment Committee and individuals to help organize Helping Hands for the year. Please talk to Julie, Jo, or Becky if you'd be willing to serve in one of these capacities.


GREETER - Nurture commission is thinking about starting up greeters again in September. If anyone would be willing to sign up for a month to contact Steve.


Youth Sunday school teachers needed! We are heading back to the classroom this fall and are looking for individuals who would like to teach our preschool, kindergarten through 3rd grade, or 4th through 6th grade Sunday schoolers. We need two teachers for each age group. If you are interested in teaching,  please contact  Sara Weber to discuss a schedule  that might work for you.


MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE - FMC has established a Mortgage Assistance Fund. If you would have further questions about the fund, we would encourage you to contact Christian Mukuna, Rick Stauffer, Dallas Schlegel, Jim Buller, Joel Mpolesha, or Pastor Dave.


PICK UP - The new Daily Bread devotional is available by the front door, for pick up.


DRIVERS - Nurture Committee is looking for drivers for October and December for one or several of our attendees to and from church on Sunday mornings. Please contact Steve Nitzsche.

We are also finding ourselves with a few more driving opportunities... please be discerning in how you might want to help out.


TECH – Our 13 year old tech deck could use some upgrades, especially to make projection and Zoom easier and more efficient to run. If you'd like to contribute to this project financially, please put a check in the offering, memo line "Tech."  


SHARING FUND - We have a fund to assist our members as well as those more loosely connected w/ us who are struggling with financial hardship. Please speak with someone on the nurture commission: Steve, Julie, and/or Ron.


CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST - Pray for our sister churches in Minnesota and Wisconsin: Bethel, Emmanuel, Faith, First-Mountain Lake, Lao Fellowship, Rochester, Saint Paul Hmong Mennonite, Third Way and affiliated groups Fargo-Moorhead Faith Mennonite Fellowship and The Mennonite Worker in Minnesota, and Shalom in Wisconsin.
