Announcements

We will have a Good Friday service at 6:30p Friday on Zoom. We will read the passion narrative together, and there will be art and songs. Please have 5 candles to extinguish as the service progresses. People are welcome to stay on for a bit of fellowship after the service.

Sunday morning we will have a short Easter "sunrise" service in the church yard at 8a. It will be outside, with masks and social distance. There will be a few songs, scripture, and a short homily. There will be ample opportunity to call and respond: "Christ is risen!", "Christ has risen indeed!"

After the service (about 8:30a), we will have an Easter egg hunt for the kids in the church yard. Please let Laura or Barb know if your kids plan to attend (this will take the place of kids Sunday school).

The regular morning activities will be Zoom only: adult Sunday school will be at 9:30, there will be a "fellowship break" at 10:30, and worship will be at 10:45. The meeting will be "open" from 9:15a-12:15p. We will read Luke 24:1-12 and call and respond "Christ is risen indeed!" some more.

Next week we will have an in-person option for the worship service: if you feel comfortable, please come to the church building by 10:45a. We will continue to observe the safe-worship guidelines from last fall (they're attached). For folks who are more comfortable on Zoom, that option will also remain available for the foreseeable future. We will read Luke 24:13-35.

There are still a few reusable bags at the church for sale ($10) to support the Nebraska MCC sale. My Coins Count raised almost $105.

Those who might be interested in volunteering with Foodnet in coming weeks/months, there will be a short meeting Wednesday, April 7 at the worship Zoom link. Please come with your questions, and be discerning about signing up to help out. More hands makes more fun and less work.

Our hygiene kit drive has begun. The items for a kit can be found here: https://mcc.org/get-involved/kits/hygiene. We will collect the items until April 18... We have 125 bags to fill in the fellowship hall:-)

We have a sharing fund to assist our members as well as those more loosely connected w/ us who are struggling with financial hardship. Please speak with someone on the nurture commission: Steve, Julie, and/or Ron.

The shop hours link will be open from 3-6 on Thursdays on Zoom.

Please continue to be extra intentional in connecting. Physical distance is not equal to social isolation. Let's love our neighbors around the area and world.
