From Jo and Agnes (the Cat) Come one, come all to the virtual ball! We’ll celebrate again, as Agnes turns ten! So give us a shout! Drop in, drop out!!!

Saturday, 1:00 to 5:00p January 30th on Zoom

It’s an open house, and because it’s virtual, the birthday girl might even grace us with her presence!

At 4:00 P.M., we’ll have the formal consumption of non-virtual KitKat bars.  There are some in the fellowship hall at First Mennonite church, you can buy your own, or call Jo to arrange for delivery or contact-free pick-up.  We’ll also sing “Happy Birthday,” once in English, and once in Meowese.  We look forward to your purrticipation in this first-ever virtual festival!  Meow, you-all!

FMC needs 2 volunteers to be our Congregational Information Couple / Persons for the MCC sale. Volunteers would assist Gordon and Rhonda Brubacher in getting information about the sale to the congregation and delivering our church contributions to the sale location. Due to the uncertainty of Covid-19 infections, the board has decided to have an online auction on March 26-27, 2021. Please check the newly updated website: ( nebraskamccsale.org) to register donated craft items and quilts auction items  for the on-line sale by March 1.  If you do not have a picture of your item, we will take it to Bethesda by March 1 to have pictures taken for the auction site. More info is attached.

I am working on a tech rotation. Please let me know if you'd be interested in helping give breaks to Adam and Kathy B. (both of whom we appreciate greatly:-). – Dave Nickel

The 2021 theme verse is Joshua 1:9

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

We have a sharing fund to assist our members as well as those more loosely connected w/ us who are struggling with financial hardship. Please speak with someone on the nurture commission: Steve, Julie, and/or Ron.

The shop will be "open" for shop hours on Thursdays. We are meeting virtually on Zoom. Stop by to chat if you'd like.

Please continue to be extra intentional in connecting. Physical distance is not equal to social isolation. Let's love our neighbors around the area and world.

CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST - Pray for those who volunteer as leaders in our conference serving on various committees and boards such as the Conference Board, the Christian Formation Committee, Pastoral Leadership Committee, Outreach and Service Committee, Stewardship Task Force, Shalom Readers Club, Peace and Justice task group and all other conference volunteers. We give thanks for those who are willing to serve!
