82 - Attendance - Zoom

Baptism is an act which cleanses and changes us with the Holy Spirit’s presence.

Sunday morning will be Zoom only: Sunday school will be at 9:30. There will be a "fellowship break" at 10:30. Worship will be at 10:45. The meeting will be "open" from 9:15a-12:15p. We will read Luke 3:1-22.

Next week we will read Luke  4:14-30.

Our first FMC drive-by will begin at 10a on Saturday. Please plan to meet at the church and bring your mask as we will be stopping several times to chat (outside) with some folks. Thanks Kathy and Chad for helping with the planning and route. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns.

I am working on a tech rotation, looking for folks who would be willing to

  1) run zoom and/or

  2) run proclaim during our Sunday services.

Please let me know if you'd be interested in helping give breaks to Adam and Kathy B. (both of whom we appreciate greatly:-).

In January we will be voting on a new Elder as Anita's term is coming to an end. Please begin to consider those in the congregation you could nominate to serve in this position for the next three years. Current elders are Anita, Rick, and Sheri. Please contact a member of the gifts discernment committee (Julie, Becky, or Jolene).

We will also select a 2021 theme verse. Please send nominations to Sheri Nitzsche.

We are seeking nominations for our 2021 quarterly mission offerings. Please send your nominations to Kathy Boshart.

We have a sharing fund to assist our members as well as those more loosely connected w/ us who are struggling with financial hardship. Please speak with someone on the nurture commission: Steve, Julie, and/or Ron.

The shop will be "open" for shop hours on Thursdays. We are meeting virtually on Zoom. Stop by to chat if you'd like.

Please continue to be extra intentional in connecting. Physical distance is not equal to social isolation. Let's love our neighbors around the area and world.

CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST - We continue to pray for those who are most vulnerable in our communities in this strange time, as in all times. May God open our eyes to the possibilities for love and for protection of the least of these among us--and may we be willing to heed God's call.
