Announcements

Sunday morning we will have another hybrid worship service on Zoom

The Zoom meeting will be "open" from 9:15a-12:30p. The building will be open at 10:20

Ben Woodward Breckbill will have the message and we will read 1 Corinthians 13.

Next Sunday we will read parts of Genesis 2 and 3.

For the children’s story this week, I (Wanda) would like the kids to bring a Happy/Sad face sign. Take a paper plate and make a Happy Face on one side, and a Sad Face on the other side. Tape to a stick, wooden spoon, straw, etc. See you during Children’s Story!

Thank you to everyone who continues to serve as well as those who have accepted new positions in the church. It takes many individuals to help run a small church and we are thankful for everyone's time and effort that they have given and continue to give. The list is attached: thank you to those on the list!

Gifts Discernment is looking to fill two positions that we have been unable to fill:

Primary Sunday School Superintendent is vacant and is only a 1 year term. Wanda Stauffer has ordered new materials for the fall so we are looking for someone to take over for those who have already generously given much of their time planning classes for our kids during most of 2020 already.

Worship Committee has a vacancy as well, which is a 3 year term.

If you would like more information or would be willing to fill one of these positions please contact Brett, Julie, or Becky.

In the weekly email, you'll find an incredible report (with testimonies, photos, and receipts... I have the beneficiary list, but it's not attached) of people benefitting from our sharing fund donation in DR Congo. Thanks to all of you who shared the money to fund this project to help with food for 120 families! What a fantastic project.

The elders have three sets of discussion questions to kick off another year of small groups. We suggest the first meeting this week, and encourage groups to discern together whether they want to meet together in person or virtually as well as other logistics.

Please continue to be extra intentional in connecting in order to fight social isolation: physical distance is not equal to social isolation. Let's love our neighbors around the area and world.

We have a healthy sharing fund. We want to assist our members as well as those more loosely connected w/ us who are struggling with financial hardship. Please speak with someone on the nurture commission or leadership board. We will work to maintain the confidentiality of requests.

For those of you thinking about worshipping in our building, please read our attached full guidelines. Please contact Anita, Tim, Sabrina, or me with questions or concerns.

The shop will continue to be "open" for shop hours Thursday from 3-6. We are meeting virtually on Zoom. Stop by to chat if you'd like.

CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST - Pray for Central Plains congregations that are in the midst of pastoral searches. Pray for search committees and for candidates looking for churches, that God may guide the search process according to God's will.
