For reflection

What do faithful people worry about?

Sunday there's opportunity for Sunday school/fellowship both before and after worship. The meeting will be "open" from 9:15a-12:30pm on Zoom. Meet with your class and come for fellowship other times as well:-) Worship will begin at 10:30a. We will read 1 Thessalonians 3.

Next Sunday Lyle Miller from Everence will be with us. He will lead adult Sunday school at 9:30 for those interested: the topic "Generosity during COVID".  We will read from Acts 4 in worship, Lyle will speak, and he will stick around for discussion after the service.

Sunday school materials and other materials for yourself/family are available electronically at for kids or here for anyone.

Continue to be prayerful in thinking about virtual and physical worship. Leadership board and the elders will discuss the feedback soon... please contact us if you have more input.  And please pray that God helps us be gracious with one another, giving us guidance toward next steps.

Gifts Discernment committee asks that you take a minute to complete the attached survey by Sunday, June 7. Please consider which positions in the church you may be willing to fill for the coming year(s), and also give suggestions about others who may have these gifts. If you cannot fill out the electronic survey, you may also email Brett, Becky, or Julie to express your interest.

Please continue to be extra intentional in connecting in order to fight social isolation: social distance is not equal to social isolation. Let's love our neighbors around the area and world. Please be safe and get together, maybe with 10 or so folks from your small group or Sunday school class, outside with some distance between yourselves. My bike and lawn chair offer remains on the table.

We have made some distributions, but still have a healthy sharing fund.  We want to assist our members as well as those more loosely connected who are struggling with financial hardship. Please speak with someone on nurture commission or leadership board. We will work to maintain the confidentiality of requests.

The treasurer is collecting offering during this time away from regular in person worship services.  Any questions should be directed to Brett.

The shop will continue to be warm for shop hours Thursdays from 3-6. We are meeting virtually on Zoom. Stop by to chat if you'd like.

We are trying to share the technology responsibilities with our Zoom worship by creating a bit of a rotation... if you're comfortable with Zoom and would like to help out, please let me or Kathy B know.  Thanks, Adam, for stepping up:-)

CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST -   Pray for your sister churches in the Southeastern Iowa Cluster: Washington, Eicher, Wayland, Sugar Creek, Pleasant View, and Zion Mennonite in Donnellson.
