80 - Virtual Attendance amidst Zoom issues

Sunday there's opportunity for Sunday school/fellowship both before and after worship. The meeting will be "open" on Zoom from 9:15a-12:30p. Meet with your class and come for fellowship other times as well:-) Worship will begin at 10:30a. We will read 1 Thessalonians 2.

Next Sunday we will read Acts 2... It will be Pentecost, so wear fire-colored clothing and/or have flaming backgrounds if you'd like.

Sunday school materials and other materials for yourself/family are available electronically at for kids or here for anyone.

Gifts Discernment committee asks that you take a minute to complete the attached survey. Please consider which positions in the church you may be willing to fill for the coming year(s), and also give suggestions about others who may have these gifts. Also attached is the current list of committees. Listed in red are the positions that need to be filled. If you cannot fill out the electronic survey, you may also email Brett, Becky, or Julie to express your interest, or get the link from them.

Continue to be prayerful in thinking about virtual and physical worship. At 6:30p on 5/27, we'll gather in a Zoom all church small group.

We will be discussing these questions:

1) What do you miss most about in-person worship?

2) How can we safely and creatively take steps toward having/doing these things again?

3) What are your primary concerns about gathering for in-person worship?

Pray that God helps us be gracious to one another in our open and honest discussions, giving us guidance toward next steps.

Please continue to be extra intentional in connecting in order to fight social isolation: social distance is not equal to social isolation. Let's love our neighbors around the area and world. With the nice weather, reach out and gather while keeping safe outdoors with physical distance. Bikes and lawn chairs have been great for me lately... please reach out.

We have a healthy sharing fund and want to assist our members as well as those more loosely connected who are struggling with financial hardship. Please speak with someone on nurture commission or leadership board. We will work to maintain the confidentiality of requests.

The treasurer is collecting offering during this time away from regular in person worship services.  Any questions should be directed to Brett.

The shop will continue to be warm for shop hours Thursdays from 3-6. We are meeting virtually on Zoom. Stop by to chat if you'd like.

CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST -  We pray for those who are most vulnerable in our communities in this strange time, as in all times. May our eyes be opened to the possibilities for love and the protection of the least of these among us.
