But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 NRSV
Mais ceux qui se confient en l’Éternel renouvellent leur force. Ils prennent le vol comme les aigles; Ils courent, et ne se lassent point, Ils marchent, et ne se fatiguent point. Ésaïe 40:31 LS1910

Sunday we will try having Sunday school both before and after worship on Zoom. It will be "open" from 9:15a-12:30p. Please be in communication with your class about when you're meeting, and come for fellowship other times as well :-)
Worship will begin at 10:30a . Seth Miller will have the message from Acts 1:1-14 and Dani Vallis will share about Habitat for Humanity. We will collect our quarterly mission offering for Habitat.
Next Sunday we will read from Acts 3.
Sunday school materials and other materials for yourself/family are available electronically at www.ShineCurriculum.com/ShineAtHome for kids of here.
For some time we have been planning to order the new Voices Together hymnal. The last day for early orders is May 1 (w/ a 10% discount)... so if you would like to order a personal copy and/or pay for a pew copy near you, please send checks in multiples of $21 to the church: "FMC" (w/ "Hymnal" in the memo line). Please have them in the mail by April 24, and I'll get them to Brett. We should receive our order around October.
The treasurer will still be collecting weekly offering during this time away from regular in person worship services. Feel free to drop off or mail donations to the church at 7300 Holdrege St, Lincoln, NE 68505. Donations can also be automatically deducted from your bank account on a weekly or monthly basis. Lastly, you can make donations through our PayPal account using our email treasurer [at] fmclincoln.org. There is a link for PayPal donations on the church's website under the "Donation" tab. Keep in mind we do pay a processing fee to PayPal so checks and ACH are preferred. Any questions should be directed to Brett.
It's important for us to find ways to share our lives together, in order to sustain each other with friendship. Please continue to support one another. It's important to be intentional in showing one another the love of Jesus in these confusing and potentially isolating times.
The elders and I would love to chat with you and/or pray with you. Please connect with Anita, Rick, Sheri, or me if you'd appreciate this.
The shop will continue to be warm for shop hours Thursdays from 3-8 (though we usually take a supper break around 6p). We are meeting virtually on Zoom. Stop by to chat if you'd like.
For those participating in our Bible study on The Gospel According to Mark, please read Mark 13-16 one last time, and discuss our reflections on the whole gospel account. Contact Pastor Dave for the Zoom link for our meeting at 7p on Monday.
Kathy B has a digital copy of the 2019-20 FMC directory for you if you'd like one, email her.
CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST - Pray for the work of the Outreach and Service Committee of Central Plains Mennonite Conference. We ask for wisdom and courage as they lead by example and encouragement into new ways of thinking about and doing God's just work in our ever-changing world.
