CELEBRATE - We are so excited: we have paid off FMC's mortgage. To celebrate, we are planning to "burn the mortgage" at potluck today. Thanks to everyone who contributed the past 2+ years as we have paid it off even more quickly than anticipated. Any outstanding pledges received can be designated to building repairs, the general budget, or the sharing fund.

THANK YOU to everyone who helped out at the Neighborhood Garage Sale, setting up/tearing down tables, and manning the food table.  We had the most sellers yet, with 29 booths.  The weather warmed up, and it was a great success.  Thanks again!   - Outreach Committee

DR CONGO PARTY - From 12-4p next Saturday (May 25) we will have a DR Congo party with pastor Francois Mukendi (who will be visiting from Kinshasa) and a few other out-of-town guests. We will have lunch with some traditional Congolese food provided; please bring a side dish to share, and we will probably be grilling some hot dogs as well.  After the meal, we will have an informal gathering of fellowship and fun. We will organize some games of cornhole and micro soccer, and the event will end with a Q&A time with Francois and others.

PASTOR DAVE’S SABBATICAL - I am preparing for a sabbatical this June and July, and will miss you all very much. I plan to spend part of the time wrestling with how I/we weave together traditional roles of pastor and friend and how we might continue to healthily live in to that. Before June, I want to talk with you about it (or whatever else). I will be at Panera (66th and O) for coffee from 9:30-11:30 the next three Wednesdays. Also, PLEASE call/text/email for lunch, a bike ride, etc. in these weeks (I would love to have a full schedule). Thanks. – Pastor Dave

ELDERS - The elders will be arranging weekly communication and speakers in June and July: please plan to contact them. There will also be an "elder on call" for pastoral needs/concerns during this time. More details will follow...

SUPPORT - The Riedel’s have signed up for Women’s Build. Here is the link, Click on ‘donate’ and search for Abby Riedel, Mackenzie Riedel, and/or Tammy Riedel if you would like to donate to support them. This home is being built by women during the month of May. Also if anyone wants to sign up to work with them, give Habitat a call.  They will be there May 28.
