BEGINNING APRIL 28, Circle of Grace lessons will be taught for Preschool - High School classes. Between 1-4 lessons will be taught over the following Sundays. Please see Ingrid, Julie, or Rachel with any questions.


ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES will be asked to discuss Sunday school at FMC in for part of the hour in their classes on April 28 as well as in an all-adult class on May 5. Please speak with the elders (Wade, Anita, Sheri) or me if you want to participate in the discussion but are unable to be at Sunday school those weeks.


JOIN US for an all church small group at 6:30p on May 8. Please bring finger food to share. After the meal (around 7p), we will break into groups to discuss appropriate touch guidelines, then come back together to share together. 


NEIGHBORHOOD GARAGE SALE - We have over 20 folks from the neighborhood signed up... Please talk to me if you're interested in a table for May 11.


THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our 40th Anniversary Relief Sale a success. We had great art and craft items, food items, and enthusiastic volunteers.  You can check the Nebraska Relief Sale website to see more figures, such as individual quilts sold. Our MY COINS COUNT added up to: $240.25. That's a lot of coins!  There are still some fridge magnets with the dates of the next 4 years on them if you didn't get one yet.  Check the narthex table.

MORTGAGE - Exciting news!!!  We are within $1000 of being able to pay off our mortgage balance in full.  We have building fund reserves to continue making our mortgage payment for most of this year.  However, as soon as we get in another $1000 of outstanding building pledges we should be able to payoff our balance in full and be completely debt free on our church building! Thank you everyone for your generous pledges as we would not be able to payoff our loan without you.


EVERENCE - In 2018, First Mennonite Church qualified for $1200 of Sharing Fund matching from Everence.  In 2019 we are qualified for $1500.  To qualify for an even higher Everence match, we need to increase our Congregational support of Everence products.  One easy way to do this is to open a Youth Savings account for your child or grandchild.  These online accounts provide a guaranteed 4% APY on the first $1000.  A minimum of $25 is required to open an account.  If this would be of interest to you, please contact Rick for help in setting up an Everence Youth Savings Account.
