SOUP SWAP - aura's planning her annual soup swap at 3p on Saturday, February 16. Please separate your soup into 6 1-quart containers (yogurt containers work well... talk to Laura if you need some) and bring them (preferably frozen). Also bring 6 copies of your recipe and come for snacks and swapping. If you can't come but still want to participate, feel free to send your soup & recipes with a friend or drop them off before the swap.

 

LADIES COFFEE - All ladies are welcome for conversation and coffee (or tea:) this Monday, Feb. 11. We are meeting this week at 10:00am!! at Wanda Stauffer, 4701 Mandarin Circle. Hope you come!

 

NEBRASKA WOMEN'S RETREAT registration forms are due by February 15th.  This year meetings are on Friday evening and all day Saturday (instead of Saturday and Sunday).  Please call/email Peg Burkey with questions. The dates are March 1st-2nd!

 

MCC SALE - Submit historical information & photos from previous sales to help celebrate 40 yrs to Gary Buller - go to nebraskamccsale.org  and click on the section that says Donate.

 

MCC DONATIONS of new quilts, comforters, afghans, wall hangings, and baby blankets are needed for the Nebraska MCC Sale.  Please register your items online at www.nebraskamccsale.org by March 1, in order to be included in the Quilt Guide.  Those items need to be delivered to Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson by March 10 to be photographed.  (The Brubachers or Wengers can hand deliver any donated quilts if taken to the church by Sunday, March 3rd.)  If you have any questions, please call or email Wendy Janzen.

 

THANKS FOR SUPPORTING THE PREGNANCY CENTER - The total donation was $180.08. Wanda netted $111.58. Dave netted -$19.66.  We appreciate a pastor who is such a good sport for the cause!

 

WOODWORKING – Pastor Dave has schedule difficulty Thursday, so he is taking a break from shop hours. If you have project ideas and want to schedule something during this time, please let him know.  We'll make something work.

 

WEDNESDAY - We'll have lots going on at an all church small group Feb 20: we'll share finger food, discuss our theme verse, wrap up our discussions of the Sabbath study, vote on our quarterly mission offering recipients, and talk congregational prayer. We'll start eating around 6:15.

 

CHILI FUNDRAISER - Feb. 17 - The youth group invite you to a chili fundraiser on February 17 after church. Donations will go towards the youth fund for the MCUSA Convention in Kansas City this summer. If you want to provide a delicious chili or dessert, please sign up on the sheet in the Fellowship Hall.

 

MCC AUCTION - If you or someone you know is interested in helping in the quilt area either with set up on Friday or with the auction on Saturday, please contact Quilt Chairperson, Wendy Janzen.

 

CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST - Pray for staff and volunteers at Swan Lake Christian Camp and Crooked Creek Christian Camp as they look ahead and make plans for the summer camping season.

 

PLEASE continue your nominations for 2019 quarterly mission offering recipients (in the box in the fellowship hall)... we'll have a penny vote on Feb 20.

 

THANK YOU for the generous donations for the Souper Bowl of Caring. The youth raised $233.67 for Matt Talbot Outreach & Kitchen.

 

CHURCH AUCTION - March 24 - FMC will have a church auction on March 24 after potluck. Can you donate great stuff that people would want? Making something for the Relief Sale and can make another one? Bring things like crafts, baked goods, plants, hand made items, certificates for services like snow shoveling or babysitting, other creative ideas you have, and any other nice things to donate. And get ready to bid!!

 

VBS - May 28-30 - Save the dates for Vacation Bible School from May 28-30, 6-8 p.m. for ages PreK to 5th grade. If any questions, can ask Jennifer, Jeana, or Lisa.
