PARENT TIME OUT - Looking for an evening out or time to spend Christmas shopping? The youth group will be providing baby-sitting services on Friday, November 30, from 6-8 pm at FMC. Donations will be accepted towards the youth fund.
THEME VERSE: The elders are beginning discerning 2019 theme verse options. We hope to vote on some at the annual meeting in January, and request your suggestions by Dec 4 (our next elder meeting).
GIFTS OF LOVE – We are collecting for City Impact and their Gifts of Love program. They welcome new gifts and cash donations for the Lincoln community in order to "help provide Christmas with dignity for locally under-resourced kids." Please mark the retail price on the gift to help with the kids and parent’s store “shopping.” You can also donate wrapping paper or bags. They will pick up the box December 6.
YAMS & STUFFING: Thank you to everyone who brought items! We were able to donate 185 boxes of Stuffing and 118 cans of Yams.
IN MEMORY of David Breckbill, who passed away two years ago tomorrow, we are playing a recording for prelude. The third movement from Beethoven's String Quartet in F major, op. 135, David chose to have played at his funeral.
CHRISTMAS CHOIR PRACTICE at 9am December 2, 9, 16. Contact Kathy Boshart with any questions.
ELDER ELECTIONS – We will have an opening for an Elder next year. Please start thinking of your nominations. Votes will be cast at the congregational meeting in January. Please give this prayerful consideration.
THANKS to all who have helped in recent weeks to work outside, paint interior doors, touch up walls and thoroughly clean the kitchen and pantry. Taking care of the wonderful gift of this building is an important privilege. Anything we can all do to help keep our building beautiful and clean is appreciated.
GREAT NEWS - Our mortgage balance is down to $8,786. Thank you all for your generous donations to pay down our debt much faster than anticipated. We have around $2,500 in expected pledges yet for 2018 and additional pledges in 2019 to hopefully payoff the balance in full. If you have any questions regarding our debt reduction or your pledge, please reach out to the treasurer, Brett Stauffer.
THANK YOU to those who have responded to our giving survey, we have received 22 responses to a goal of 30. Paper surveys are now available in the fellowship hall and can be placed in the treasurer’s mail box once completed.
