SMALL GROUP - We are planning the 2018 Small Group Kick Off... please contact Sheri Nitzsche or Pastor Dave if you're interested in joining a group. We will have an All Church Small Group on September 12 at which we distribute books. We will be reading another from the Upside Down Living series, this one titled Sabbath. It is about rest in the midst of our busy lives.
ARTWORK - Worship committee requests pictures and artwork inspired by our theme verse. We invite you to help us make a collage in the fellowship hall, which will be part of the September 16 worship service.
MAGAZINES - We will be culling all but the last three issues of the many magazines on the cart in the library... please stop by and take older issues if you'd like them.
BIKING - If you're interested in supporting Mennonite Central Committee and biking (and you're willing to drive a bit before biking), please talk to Pastor Dave about participating in the MCC Flatlander Bicycle Ride. It's Saturday, September 15 starting at the MCC center in Newton, KS.
WOMEN’S RETREAT – Swan Lake Christian Camp, Viborg, SD Register by Sept 7. Contact Laura Nickel with questions.
CONGRATULATIONS - With Wanda and Rick, we welcome their new granddaughter Ellowyn Leah Stauffer, born to Jared and Lacey late Wednesday evening. She was 5lbs. 9oz. 18 1/4" and mom and baby are doing well.
MEGAN IS IN NEPAL - You can follow her adventures with MCC SALT at https://meganeisenbeis.wordpress.com/.
PICNIC - The Omaha Menno's invite us to a fall picnic at Standing Bear Lake in Omaha on Saturday, September 22, from 4-9pm. Please RSVP to info [at] OmahaMennos.info between now and Sept. 19, so we can have an estimate of how many people to expect. Call Stan or Jeanette at 402-572-0433 if you have any questions.
LADIES COFFEE - We are starting up our monthly coffee in September. You are invited on Monday, Sept. 10, 9:30 am to Jolene Boshart's home. Come for coffee, conversation and fellowship. Always a few laughs and good fun!
