NEW BABY - Vanessa gave birth to Nathan Mujinga Kalombo at 4:15 Tuesday! He is 8lbs, 14oz, 22 inches. Mom and baby are doing well. Please keep the Kalombo family in your prayers as we welcome Nathan.

CLASS - Our community/communion, baptism, and church membership Sunday school class continues Sunday.  There will be an all-church component to the class: we will host two all-adult Sunday school classes in August (5th and 26th, as well as one in September) in which we will have a group discussion on each of the topics listed above.  If you'd be willing to share a few minutes on one of these topics, please talk to Pastor Dave.

LEADERSHIP BOARD, with the help of the trustees, recently approved a complete replacement of an air conditioning unit for the fellowship hall which resulted in an unexpected budget expense of $7723.  This is in addition to our budget shortage YTD of -$6546. However, we continue to make great progress on paying off our mortgage.  Our current principle balance of our mortgage is down to $10,431 with additional pledges expected this year and next to pay off the balance in full.

COME & SEE – Please spread the word and invite your neighbors, coworkers, friends, and classmates to join us for our FRIENDSHIP SUNDAY service and stay for Potluck, immediately following the service. Members, please bring a main dish and either a side dish or dessert to share. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST - Today Joel Beachy is being ordained to Christian ministry. He is the pastor of East Union Mennonite Church in Kalona, Iowa. Pray for God's blessing on Joel and his family and congregation as he enters this covenant of leadership with the church.
