SOUPER BOWL -  On Sunday February 4th, 2018, millions of Americans will watch the Super Bowl football game.  There will be parties with abundant food, friendship, and fellowship.  At the same time, there will be people worried about staying warm and finding their next meal.  Let’s join with others around the country as we demonstrate God’s love by loving our neighbors through the Souper Bowl of Caring.  It’s a simple, yet significant act of caring for others.

This year we will be collecting for Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach in Lincoln.   For over 25 years MTKO has served the homeless and near homeless.  Feeding the hungry is at the core of their mission.

After church on February 4, the youth will be collecting donations in their soup pots for the Souper Bowl of Caring.

CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST -     Today is World Fellowship Sunday. Each year, Mennonite World Conference encourages Anabaptist-related churches around the world to worship around a common theme on a Sunday close to January 21. On that date in 1525, the first Anabaptist baptism took place in Zurich, Switzerland. World Fellowship Sunday provides an opportunity to remember our common roots and celebrate our worldwide fellowship.

RELIEF KITS – Today we will kick off our collection to build MCC Relief kits.  We will collect a different thing each week. Next week we are collecting Bath Towels.

ANNUAL MEETING FOLLOWUP – Thanks to all who attended tonight's annual meeting. The proposed budget was passed, and Anita Breckbill was elected Elder. The new organizational chart was presented, and all are invited to review the position listings and descriptions, which can be found in the binder in the fellowship hall. The 2018 Bible verse choices were also presented; prayerfully consider FMC's focus this year, and then cast your vote! There are voting slips available at the church.

WOMEN’S RETREAT – FMC is in charge of planning this year's Nebraska Women's Retreat, and you are all invited! This year will be a special seminar: "Sister Care: Equipping Women for Healing Ministries" at the Leadership Center in Aurora, Nebraska, on March 3-4, 2018. Sister Care seminars provide women with tools for ongoing personal healing, for recognizing and celebrating God's grace in their lives, and for responding more confidently to the needs of others.  For more information or to register online, visit: or contact Carol Knieriem.
