Sin is about being out of friendship with God.  God loves humanity so much that he wants us to be, not only happy, flourishing, fulfilled human beings, but living in his friendship, sharing his own divine life.

THANK YOU to Aime Vellani for sharing with today about Cru.

Hello! My name is Aime Vellani, and I recently graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. This next year, I am trusting God as He leads me to intern with Cru, the U.S. ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, on the UNL campus and other campuses in Nebraska. Cru is a Christian mission organization  active here in the U.S. and overseas. I am really excited about this opportunity the Lord has given me to help build believers on these campuses up in their walk with Christ and to reach out to those who are not believers yet to offer them the opportunity to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel! I am currently building a team of partners who will help support my ministry financially and through prayer this coming year, and I would love to speak with you more specifically about it! Please feel free to contact me! I will also be around after the service to talk with you more about what I will be doing. Thank you!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL will be July 10-12, from 6-8:30 pm at FMC, "Digging for Treasure." Please contact the VBS committee (Doug, Rachel, Jennifer) with any questions.

CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST - Pray for all our sisters and brothers from across Mennonite Church USA who are gathered in Orlando, Florida, this coming week for convention and delegate assembly.  Pray especially for God's guidance of those in leadership and of the Future Church Summit.

SIGN UP – Curious about the Nuture Commission? Have an idea for the Outreach Committee?  What exactly is discussed at Leadership Board?  Please be praying about ways you might plug in at FMC, see the sign up sheets in the fellowship hall, and sign up. Talk to Dave Nitzsche or another member of gifts discernment if you are interested.

JOIN US - Some FMC people gather Tuesdays for Jazz in June. The music starts at 7:00 but people gather 6:30ish for a picnic. Meet in front of Architecture Hall on the sculpture garden grass (If 11 th St. just kept going north past Q St. and through campus it would run right over our group).

Quarterly Theme Verse

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Romans 12:12
