POTLUCK TODAY - Everyone is invited to stay for a potluck
lunch today right after the worship service. We will not have our usual third Sunday potluck next week.
BIRTHDAY OFFERING TODAY - We will celebrate all the June
birthdays and anniversaries by taking a special offering during the worship
service. The offering helps us
support three students in India in their education.
QUARTERLY MISSION OFFERING - Jesus said, "Love your
neighbor as yourself." To encourage a
loving response to the needs of individuals and families with whom we have
contact, next Sunday's quarterly mission offering will fund
"Samaritan Grants" so that each of us may help anyone in need in
the name of Christ and First Mennonite Church. Ask God how you might
participate in this innovative plan.
Designated contributions may also be made to the building payment fund
on June 20 or at any time.
LOOKING
AHEAD - Two important events are coming in July. On Sunday, July 11, Sri Mayasandra (former member of FMC) will
be visiting and will join us for a potluck lunch after the service. On Sunday, July 18, we will celebrate the
upcoming wedding of Tisha Roth and Steven Arens with a potluck and grocery
shower.
