The Lord's Prayer
|
|
|
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our debts as we
forgive our debtors;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the
power and the glory forever.
Amen.

FOSTER CARE CLOSET provides free clothes for foster children. Bring gently used clothes to the south
wall of the sanctuary during September.
Clean items are needed: infant through teen sizes, dress and casual
clothes, and shoes. Baby items are
also needed (blankets, etc.).
Remember that lots of teens are adult size! If you have questions, please contact Carol Knieriem or Leigh
Esau.
JUNIOR YOUTH KICK-OFF - All kids in grades 6-8 are invited
to a Junior Youth BBQ today at 5:00 p.m. at Troyer's house. You won't want to miss it!
ALL-CHURCH FALL PARTY - Mark your calendars now for a

ARE YOU IN OUR DIRECTORY?
- The church directory will be published in October and we don't want
to leave you out! Please check the
pages on the wall of the fellowship hall for your name, address, birthday,
etc. and make any necessary corrections.
If your name's not on the wall, please add your information.
SMALL GROUPS - New and old small groups are starting
soon. Please contact Nurture
Committee (Dallas, Julie, Gerry, David O.) if you were not in a group last
year but would like to be.
POTLUCK NEXT SUNDAY - Join us next Sunday for fellowship
and food right after the worship service.
Please bring a main dish and a salad or dessert to share.
MEN'S NIGHT OUT -
It's our First Annual FMC Game Feed. Pheasant, Quail, Turkey, Goose,
Bear, Deer, and Duck to be served on Wednesday, September the 30th, 6:30 p.m.
at Rick's house. Please RSVP to Rick or Brett Stauffer by Sunday, September
the 27th. For all the
non-red meat eaters, we will fry up some excellent fish. Come and
enjoy.
BUILDING OFFERING - Today we will have a special building
fund offering. We are depending upon
this offering to cover a little more than half of our mortgage payments for
the third quarter of the year, a total of $1,800. The offering is an opportunity to give thanks to God, meet this
obligation together, and shorten our mortgage's 20-year repayment period. The building offering will be in addition
to our regular tithes and offerings.
Contributions designated "building fund" are invited and may be made
at any time.
CAMPUS DISCUSSION GROUP - The UNL campus discussion group
resumes this Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. All
college and university students are welcome.
Meet in the Nebraska Union near the Caffina Café.
|
|
MORE FUN FOR WOMEN - Inviting all women 16 years and up to
have a fun lunch at "Art Chicks" in Louisville on Saturday, October 10th. Lunch will be at 11:30. There will
be a sign up sheet and Becky Waegli needs to know who can go in the next
couple of weeks so that she can give the owners a head count.
BIRTHDAY OFFERING - Our monthly Birthday and Anniversary
offering will be held next Sunday.
Everyone born or married during September is invited to bring a gift
to support our Global Family students in Calcutta, India as well as the work
of Mennonite World Conference.
|
|
SRI MAYASANDRA - Our good friend, Sri, has sent an update
on his work in Pune, India, with lots of photographs. It is posted on the bulletin board.
PRIMARY SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS - We will have a meeting
and lunch after the morning worship service on Sunday, October 4.
AMAZON EARNINGS - Thanks for remembering to link to
Amazon.com through the commercial links page on the First Mennonite
