Announcements

GIFTS OF LOVE - City Impact has placed a Gifts of Love box in the fellowship hall. They welcome new gifts and cash donations for the Lincoln community in order to "help provide Christmas with dignity for locally under-resourced kids."  Please mark the retail price on the gift to help with the kids and parent’s store “shopping.” You can also donate wrapping paper or bags.  They will pick up the box December 7.

The new Our Daily Bread is available to pick up.

YOUTH EVENT - The youth will be volunteering at Gifts of Love on Saturday, December 9 from 2-4 p.m. A Christmas party will follow at the Miller's.

BUILDING FUND - Pledges totaling $22,200 has been committed so far to our goal of $30,000 over the next 3 years.  We have already collected $8000 of the total pledges to reduce our principle balance immediately. Please continue to pray and consider how you can help or who you can reach out to in regards to our debt reduction commitments.  We have a goal of $10,000 a year in new commitments above and beyond our regular giving in order to eliminate our mortgage balance by the end of 2019.  Additional copies of the debt reduction letter and commitment cards are located in the top right mailbox.  Pledge cards can be dropped in the offering plate or the treasurer's mailbox.

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM - Join us Sunday, Dec 10 at 6:00 p.m. for the FMC Christmas program. It is always a wonderful event, full of music, drama, and unexpected surprises. You won’t want to miss it!

KIDS - If you kids are in the Kids Christmas Play, please have them here tonight by 5:30 pm to get into costume.

BRING TREATS - Following the Christmas Program Sunday evening, please have Christmas cookies, bars and other snacks available to share.  This "snack feast" will be our December "potluck."

SOCK TREE - Socks are among the most needed items at homeless shelters, yet are the least donated item.  We will decorate the Christmas tree in the fellowship hall with socks and gloves. The items will be donated to People City Mission.  So stock up on socks, and have your donations on the tree by Christmas Eve.

CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST -     We invite you to pray and fast on Tuesday for the Villatoro and Huesca families.  Max & Gloria's brother-in-law, Alex Huesca, who is the pastor at Iglesia El Balsamo in Musciatine, Iowa, has also been deported.  Pray for strength and wisdom for these families and all families in which husbands and fathers are separated from wives and children.
