NEXT WEEK we will be focusing on our theme verse, reading Romans 12:9-13 in worship and “Breaking open the word.” If you want to prepare in your devotional time, please reflect on these questions:
1) What word or phrase particularly speaks to me.
2) What in today’s world does this passage of scripture address?
3) To what does this passage call me?
To what does it call the groups to which I belong?
BUILDING FUND - Pledges totaling $18,900 has been committed so far to our goal of $30,000 over the next 3 years. Please continue to pray and consider how you can help or who you can reach out to in regards to our debt reduction commitments. We have a goal of $10,000 a year in new commitments above and beyond our regular giving in order to eliminate our mortgage balance by the end of 2019. Additional copies of the debt reduction letter and commitment cards are located in the top right mailbox. Pledge cards can be dropped in the offering plate or the treasurer's mailbox.
CONFERENCE PRAYER REQUEST - Please pray for the the pastoral team in Quito Mennonite Church as they continue to lead the congregation and as they move to the new building that they have purchased. Pray for Peter Wigginton as he starts teaching classes at an indigenous seminary in Riobamba.
Thank you so much for all the love, support, visits, phone calls, food and most of all prayers during this kidney transplant journey. We are so blessed to be supported by such a loving church family. Recovery is going well—God is good all the time! - The entire Nitzsche family
