Rev. Daniel L. Buttry is the Global Consultant for Peace and Justice with International Ministries of the American Baptist Churches. He has pastored two churches in the United States and for ten years directed the Peace Program for the American Baptist Church. Since 2003 he has been a missionary with International Ministries, working around the world to help Christians as peacemakers. He has written a number of books on topics such as church renewal, preaching, interfaith relations and peacemaking. His Bible Study Manual on Conflict Transformation has been translated into 8 languages. His wife Sharon Buttry is an urban missionary in Detroit where they live. They have 3 adult children.

The Anabaptist Exploration Series seeks to encourage consideration of how believers today may actively follow Christ in life.  Expressions of this discipleship include: working for peace and justice in personal, local, and national relationships, serving those in need at home and abroad, and building healing communities where the love of God is lived out.
