First Mennonite Church, located in Lincoln, Nebraska, is committed to being a Christian community that welcomes, nurtures, and values others. We strive to serve God by modeling loving care for one another. Peace and justice issues, service, evangelism, spirituality, and living simply and ethically are among the Anabaptist-Mennonite concerns that we share.
First Mennonite Church is proud to provide this important ministry in the Lincoln area that offers mostly perishable foods such as fruits, vegetables, dairy products and bread – all items not usually found at a dry goods food pantry, but are still in demand. Distribution of food begins at 5 p.m. Thursdays in our fellowship hall.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we gratefully respond to God’s work in our lives by caring for one another and to ministering to the world.
